SINGLE DRUNK FEMALE REVIEW

Alex and Sam are smiling at each other.

Single Drunk Female is a coming-of-age hangover you’ll actually enjoy. Creator Simone Finch spins everyday chaos into must-watch magic, with every messy, meaningful beat landing just right. It’s the kind of show that hands you a mirror, a hug, and a punchline. Sometimes all at once.

Sam is the human embodiment of I’m sorry, Miss Jackson, but she’s for real. Messy, honest, and way too relatable. Fired from her job, forced to move home, sentenced to community service, stuck in AA, and still haunted by her father’s death. She’s navigating sobriety, family landmines, and emotional whiplash without burning every last bridge. You’ll root for her, cringe with her, and laugh until it hurts.

And Carol, oh Carol the lovable smother. Living in a permanent state of F.I.N.E. (Freaked out, Insecure, Neurotic, Emotional). The gangs all flawed and fabulous in this two-season binge. Felicia, the chaotic ride-or-die whose plans scream bad idea but promise a good time. Brit, the overachieving ex-bestie now back in the fold with hairline fractures in her perfect facade. James, the baggage-carrying and dog loving recoveree outrunning his own spiral. Joel, crying in photo booths (obviously); And Bob, still wonderfully weird.

It’s awkward. It’s raw. It’s funny in a “laugh, then cry, then text your therapist” kind of way. Single Drunk Female doesn’t just stick the landing. It chugs the truth and dares you not to relate.
